About INK'08
Hosted at the exciting NorthBay Camp right on the Chesapeake Bay, the INK 2008 conference will feature outstanding speakers and teachers to provide training, information, encouragement and inspiration to Christian international students under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
The dates are December 27th, 2008 (arrival) – January 1st, 2009 (departure). The conference will be followed by some post-conference activities for those who would be interested. We are currently planning on touring some attractions in the Washington DC area and possibly Philadelphia. More details will soon follow.
The INK '08 theme is “Action based on love”, drawn from 1 John 3:18 which says, “Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth”(NIV). The theme will be a call to action on God's calling in one's life, a time to be challenged, to be inspired and encouraged during the decision making processes in our lives as Christian internationals here in the US. We will have outstanding men and women as speakers and seminar leaders whose lives exemplify the theme verse above. God will use them and fellow internationals that you will meet at the conference to speak to whatever you are dealing with in your life as the Holy Spirit directs and leads the conference.
We welcome you to join others from all over the world to worship God together, forge friendships and possibly life-long relationships, to be inspired and encouraged, and leave with additional knowledge and skills as you face the world to take action based on love.
The INK 2008 Conference has been planned by a team of committed international students (from 11 different countries) based in different parts of the US, and is co-sponsored by International Friendships Inc. (IFI), InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) and several churches.
Who is INK'08 for?
The Conference is for Christian internationals either still in school or out of school. There will be special workshops on post-academic transition challenges in addition to other topics that are aimed at providing training, encouragement and inspiration for Christian internationals in the call to action based on love.
